Simultaneously, Rock joined the voice cast for the upcoming film Goodnight, Lamby, which is slated to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.
While Rock stays busy with film and family, podcasters are looking back at the director he almost became. Issa Rae revealed on The Breakfast Club that HBO pushed hard for him to helm her pilot, noting, "Like, HBO really wanted Chris Rock to direct the pilot."
